Jacqueline Cooper Sanromá, (San Juan, P.R., 1969)
Ceramista. Comenzó estudios becados en Casa Candina con las ceramistas Toni Hambleton y Jaime Suárez en 1988. En 1995 obtuvo su Bachillerato en Arte en la Escuela de Artes Plásticas de San Juan y al año siguiente comenzó como profesora de cerámica escultórica en dicha Escuela. Continuó en 1999 como profesora y asistente principal en el taller de la ceramista Toni Hambleton. Su obra ha sido expuesta en y fuera de Puerto Rico, incluyendo: Argentina, Venezuela, México y República Dominicana. Entre otros premios obtuvo, en 1980, el segundo lugar en Dibujo y Mención honorífica en Pintura, Certamen de Artistas Jóvenes, Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña, San Juan, Puerto Rico y en 1994 ganó Mención honorífica en la II Bienal de Artes Plásticas, Museo Casa Roig, Humacao, Puerto Rico.

Ceramist. In 1988 she began her studies with a scholarship at Casa Candina under ceramists Toni Hambleton and Jaime Suárez. In 1995 she obtained a Bachelor of Arts from the San Juan School of Visual Arts and the following year began teaching there as a professor of sculptural ceramics. In 1999 she continued teaching and worked as head assistant at ceramist Toni Hambleton’s studio. Her work has been shown in Puerto Rico and abroad, including Argentina, Venezuela, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. Among other awards, she received Second Place in Drawing and Honorable Mention in Painting at the Young Artists Contest of the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture, San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 1980; and in 1994 received an Honorable Mention at the II Biennial of Fine Arts, Casa Roig Museum, Humacao, Puerto Rico.
