Ismo (Joshua Santos), (Arecibo, PR, 1981)
Graffitero, pintor y creador de instalaciones. Posee estudios de la Escuela de Artes Plásticas de Puerto Rico. Este artista, también conocido como “Bik” o “Bik-Ismo”, trabaja el arte urbano desde hace trece años; utilizando como símbolo distintivo una tostadora y la frase “Seguimos tostando”. Ha formado parte de varios grupos internacionales de arte urbano como FX., The Nasty Boys y Masters of Destruction. Fue el primer artista en curar y organizar una exhibición de graffiti sobre tela en Puerto Rico, titulada Virtuosos del Aerosol (Galería Enlaces, 2002) y la exhibición titulada ExhibicionIsmo (Galería Enlaces, 2003). Fue uno de los estudiantes escogidos por la Escuela de Artes Plásticas para visitar la Feria de Arco en Madrid, España (2002). En noviembre del 2007 viajó a Boston para pintar con diferentes artistas. Su obra se ha exhibido en Puerto Rico, Estados Unidos y Japón. Le interesa trabajar con los íconos de la cultura puertorriqueña y la estética del graffiti.

Graffiti artist, painter, and installation creator. He has studied at the Puerto Rico School of Plastic Arts. This artist, also known as “Bik” o “Bik-Ismo”, has worked in urban art for the past thirteen years, using as a distinctive symbol a toaster and the phrase “Seguimos Tostando” (“We’re Still Toasting”). He has belonged to several international urban art groups, such as FX, The Nasty Boys, and Masters of Destruction. He was the first artist to curate and organize an exhibition of graffiti on fabric in Puerto Rico, Virtuosos del Aerosol (Aerosol Virtuosos) at Enlaces Gallery in 2002, and the exhibition entitled ExhibicionIsmo (ExhibitionIsm) at Enlaces Gallery in 2003. He was one of the students chosen by the School of Visual Arts to visit the Arco Fair in Madrid, Spain (2002). In November 2007, he traveled to Boston to paint with different artists. He has exhibited his work in Puerto Rico, the United States, and Japan. He is interested in working with the icons of Puerto Rican culture and the aesthetics of graffiti.
