Luis Germán Cajiga, (Quebradillas, PR, 1934)

Pintor y artista gráfico. En 1952 se trasladó a San Juan donde tuvo a grandes figuras del arte como Lorenzo Homar, Rafael Tufiño, José Meléndez Contreras y Félix Bonilla Norat en el Taller de Artes Gráficas de la División de Educación de la Comunidad (Divedco). Realizó estudios de perspectiva con el pintor Fran Cervoni. De 1960 a 1962 fue asistente de Lorenzo Homar en el Taller de Gráfica del Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña. En 1975 obtuvo una Maestría en Educación en la Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico y desde 1979 mantiene su galería en el Viejo San Juan. Se ha destacado por una obra costumbrista en la que plasma estampas y paisajes de pueblo, principalmente del Viejo San Juan.

Painter and graphic artist. He moved to San Juan in 1952, where his role models included such great artists as Lorenzo Homar, Rafael Tufiño, José Meléndez Contreras, and Félix Bonilla Norat at the Graphic Arts Workshop of the Division of Community Education (Divedco). He studied perspective with painter Fran Cervoni. From 1960 to 1962 he was assistant to Lorenzo Homar at the Graphics Workshop of the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture. In 1975 he obtained a Master of Arts in Education from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico, and since 1979 he has had his own gallery in Old San Juan. His work is renowned for his portrayals of native customs and his depiction of town scenes and sights, mainly of Old San Juan.
