el dépe te, (Irizarry, Edgar) (Mayagüez, P.R., 1980)
Pintor y dibujante. Posee dos bachilleratos de la Universidad Interamericana de San Germán; uno en Educación del Arte y otro en Pintura y Artes Gráficas. En el 2006 completó una Maestría en Pintura en dicha Universidad. Desde el 2000 ejerce como maestro de arte a nivel elemental, intermedio y superior en el sistema público del Departamento de Educación de Puerto Rico. Ha exhibido desde 1997, tanto individual como colectivamente, en República Dominicana, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Estados Unidos y Japón; participando en ferias de arte como ARWI (Puerto Rico Art and Wine Fair). Ha sido premiado por el Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña y por la Asociación de Críticos de Arte de Puerto Rico. En su obra trabaja tres temas: el dolor humano, el sufrimiento y la tristeza; utiliza el número tres como base de su propuesta conceptual.

Painter and draftsman. He completed two Bachelor of Arts at Inter American University in San German, one in Art Education and another in Painting and Graphic Arts. In 2006 he completed a Master of Arts in Painting at said University. Since 2000 he has been an art teacher at the elementary, intermediate, and high school levels in the public education system of the Puerto Rico Department of Education. Since 1997, he has shown his work in both individual and collective exhibitions in the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Puerto Rico, the United States, and Japan, and has also participated in art fairs such as ARWI, the Puerto Rico Art & Wine Fair. He has received awards from the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture and the Puerto Rico Art Critics Association. His work deals with three subjects: human pain, suffering, and sorrow; he uses the number three as a basis for his conceptual proposition.
