Vivian Hernández, (Nueva York, EEUU, 1947)

Graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Hernández has an academic background in art and interior design including studies in Liga de Arte del Viejo San Juan, Escuela de Artes Plásticas de Puerto Rico, San Juan School of Interior Design and the Art School of Minneapolis. She has studied under the direction of local artists such as Agusto Marín, Cristina Emanuelli, Piero Rossatti, Juan Ramón Velázquez, Betsy Padín and Rafael Rivera Ortíz. Her work has been showcased in various collective art expositions and local galleries including the Atrium at the Citibank Center, Galerías Colecciones, Galería Telemundo and Artistas Contra el Cáncer. In 2001 and 2004 her work earned her second place in the “The Minneapolis Annual Art Competition”.

Currently she continues to develop her artistic skills under the direction of Debbie Fletcher at the Coral Springs Museum of Art in Florida.
