Pintor, escultor, dibujante y diseñador gráfico. Su niñez se remonta en diversos lugares, ya que su padre servía en la fuerza aérea de Estados Unidos. A su regreso a Puerto Rico cursó estudios en la Liga de Estudiantes de Arte de San Juan y en 1979 amplía su formación en GLCA Artist Apprenticeship Program de Nueva York, como aprendiz de Robert Stackhouse y Louis Lieberman. En 1980 obtuvo su Bachillerato en Artes en DePauw University, Indiana. Desde 1996 es socio de JMD Communications. Su obra ha sido distinguida con varios premios y menciones; en 1992 fue seleccionado para integrar el portafolio de carteles del Pabellón Nacional de Puerto Rico en Sevilla. En su obra se puede ver una influencia del arte pop y las corrientes neodadaístas, que hacen referencia a los medios de difusión masiva, el humor y el doble sentido.

Carlos Dávila Rinaldi, (San Juan, P.R., 1958)

Painter, sculptor, draftsman, and graphic designer. He spent his childhood in several different places because his father served in the United States Air Force. Upon his return to Puerto Rico, he studied at the League of Art Students of San Juan and in 1979 he expanded his training at the GLCA Artist Apprenticeship Program in New York as an apprentice to Robert Stackhouse and Louis Lieberman. In 1980 he obtained his Bachelor of Arts from DePauw University in Indiana. He has been a partner at JMD Communications since 1996. His work has received several awards and distinctions; in 1992 he was selected for inclusion in the poster portfolio of the Puerto Rico National Pavilion in Seville. His work reveals influences from pop art and neo-Dadaist currents, with references to mass communication media, humor, and double entendre.
