Frances Picó (San Juan, PR, 1945)

Pintora. Estudió en la Liga de Arte de San Juan del 1980 al 2001 y cursó su Bachillerato en Bellas Artes con Concentración en Pintura en la Escuela de Artes Plásticas de Puerto Rico en 1998. Ese mismo año obtuvo la beca Arnaldo Roche y la Medalla de Pintura de la Escuela de Artes Plásticas. Fue miembro de la Junta Directiva de la Liga de Arte del 1986 al 2005. Ha participado en varios talleres en las ciudades de Miami y Nueva York. Ha tenido varias exposiciones individuales en Puerto Rico y ha participado en colectivas en y fuera del país. A través del lienzo expresa estados emocionales, vivencias y experiencias estéticas, en un juego de colores, formas y texturas.

Painter. She studied at the San Juan Art League from 1980 until 2001 and pursued her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Painting at the Puerto Rico School of Visual Arts in 1998. That same year she received the Arnaldo Roche Scholarship and the Medal in Painting from the School of Plastic Arts. She was a member of the Board of Directors of the Art League from 1986 until 2005. She has participated in several workshops in the cities of Miami and New York. She has held a number of individual exhibits in Puerto Rico, and has participated in collective exhibits in the country and abroad. She expresses emotional states and life and aesthetic experiences through the canvas, in a play of colors, shapes, and textures.
